York Developments has formed a strategic alliance with Swiss-based Zaugg Timber Solutions to develop a 150,000-square foot Modular Manufacturing facility on Tract 3 at North Loop in Bozeman. Since 1936, Zaugg has been a leading innovator in multiple typologies of wood construction including residential, commercial and industrial. As a vertically integrated enterprise, the company delivers a complete menu of services from design and engineering to mass timber element fabrication, with a specialization in modular mass timber. The new fully automated facility in Bozeman will be designed and engineered as a hybrid of mass timber and steel elements, delivering warmth and beauty while demonstrating how mass timber can be used in industrial construction.
The goal of the alliance is to create a sustainable vertical supply chain – from forestry to affordable housing.
Projects will be designed fabricated and transported at up to 95% completion to job sites.
The new facility will reduce construction costs and project completion times.
