Bennett V. York attended the University of Mississippi and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee. For two years, York served as Chief of Oral Surgery at Mather United States Air Force Hospital in Sacramento, California. He moved back to Mississippi in 1970 and established a private Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice in Hattiesburg, MS. Bennett, however, is unique in his uncanny ability to manage two successful careers as a renowned oral surgeon and as an award-winning Real Estate Developer. Bennett along with his dedicated long-term team, including his three children – the late Bennett York Jr., Paige York and John York – have developed, owned and operated shopping centers, multi-family apartments, master-planned communities, convenience stores, office buildings and self-storage facilities. The York Team has also launched successful start-ups in other industries including solid waste management, outdoor advertising and timberland. York has been married for 60 years to Nancy Moore York. Now, the third generation has joined the family business with the addition of York’s grandson, Lars Losee and granddaughters, Ella Losee and Abby York. York has two other talented grandchildren, Anne York and Bennett York III who are still in pursuit of their education.

Paige York is the creative force behind York Developments, her family’s development firm renowned for its transformative, design-centric approach to development. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Paige has built a legacy of excellence, merging her passion for every facet of design and creativity with her pervasive entrepreneurial drive to deliver innovative and award-winning developments. An alumna of Harvard Business School, Paige is a dynamic leader with an unrelenting passion for empowering people. Her people-first approach not only drives exceptional results, but also creates a culture of collaboration and innovation to create new development opportunities. 

Paige is proud to be a driving force behind York’s new Hospitality division. Under this new umbrella, the York Team is launching new Wyndham ECHO branded extended stay hotels throughout the Mountain West region. She is also creating new hospitality brands for Senior Living along with a new wellness and recovery platform called Wellery. 

Paige is married to Casey Tippens and together they have embarked on a mission to pioneer an innovative new real estate solution that addresses affordability and sustainability for local communities. They have two children, Lars Losee and Ella Losee, both of whom have joined York Developments as 3rd-generation owners to build upon the York legacy, innovate for the future and ensure the company’s long-term success.

Casey joined York Developments in 2003 as a Project Manager and licensed Real Estate agent in Florida. Casey has broad experience as a project principal for multiple asset types across the country. He manages the entire life cycle of an investment from site selection, market analysis, financial modeling, entitlement, design, permitting, capital placement and construction. For over 15 years, Casey was vital in the launch and expansion of York’s Spacebox Storage brand and development platform. He is now the driving force and visionary for all new investments in the Mountain West region. For the last six years, Casey has diligently formulated and executed a large-scale strategic plan for unlocking tremendous opportunity in the most sought after areas of Bozeman, Montana. He has assembled and closed on over 95% of all of the remaining Industrial Land in Gallatin County. Casey also launched the first rail-served Industrial Park in the Bozeman market in over 100 years. The first phase of horizontal infrastructure for York’s new 250-acre “North Loop” Industrial Park has been completed. Casey is also leading the development of a new premier 36-acre, mixed-use, light industrial Creative Campus located close to Main Street in Bozeman. 


Casey’s latest initiative is to pioneer innovative real estate solutions that address affordability and sustainability. By combining Mass Timber – a renewable, low-carbon material – with the efficiency of industrialized construction, Casey is crafting a blueprint for scalable, high-quality, affordable real estate that meets the needs of local communities.

Jan W. Hammond is a Mississippi attorney who has practiced law in Hattiesburg, Mississippi since 1980.  She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1977, Magna Cum Laude, and from the University of Mississippi, School of Law in 1980 with Highest Honors, Cum Laude. Jan is a Member of the Mississippi Bar Association and the South Central Mississippi Bar Association, which she served as Secretary. She was a partner in a Hattiesburg law firm for 8 years before starting a solo practice in 1988. Since 1988, her law practice has been focused primarily on all aspects of York Developments’ real estate transactions including acquisition, financing, construction, development, leasing, sales and disposition. She is a Member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Hattiesburg, where she has served on the Finance Committee for numerous years and on the Stewardship Committee, and was an American Heart Association volunteer for many years, Chairing and Co-Chairing its local Art for Heart fundraiser in successive years.

Mary earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado in 1996, her J.D. from Tulane Law School in 1999, her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida in 2000 and was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1999. Since then, she has been practicing law with an emphasis in tax, business and estate planning for individuals and entities. Mary began working with the York Development team as outside counsel in 2002. In 2018, she formed her own firm, where her Legal and Tax work focuses primarily on York Developments’ projects, transactions and entities.

Liz Strickland has served as Chief Financial Officer of York Developments, LLC for almos t30 years where she oversees the financial aspects of numerous business entities including commercial properties, multi-family communities and privately-held utility companies. Liz also oversees the financial accounting of construction projects ensuring compliance with lender and governmental requirements and serves as a liaison with lenders and investors. She has extensive experience in construction contract administration and project cost accounting including HUD 221 (d) (4) Multifamily Construction Loan programs and Mississippi Business Finance Corporation Variable Rate Demand Revenue Bond issuances. Liz graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1992 with Highest Honors. She received the Mississippi Society of Public Accountants “Neeley Gold Medal” for achieving the highest overall score on the November 1993 CPA.

Katelyn Eaton is a Controller for York Developments and assists with the financial accounting for several business entities, construction projects, and other potential business investments. Prior to joining, she started her career in public accounting with KPMG in Memphis, TN. Katelyn graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Adkerson School of Accountancy at Mississippi State in 2018 and 2019, receiving a Bachelor in Accountancy and Masters of Professional Accountancy.

Stanford Beauchamp joined York Developments as a CPA in early 2024 where he focuses on Value Creation and Asset Optimization. He manages the financial accounting of numerous York-owned entities and looks for strategic ways to enhance performance, optimize asset value, and drive long-term financial growth. He graduated from the Patterson School of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi, receiving a Bachelor’s in Accountancy (2020) and Masters of Taxation & Data Analytics (2021). After graduation, Stanford spent two years in public accounting specializing in multi-state taxation at Deloitte & Touche in Denver, Colorado. He joined the private sector in 2023 working at a multi-family office focusing on various clients’ needs in a variety of financial and accounting capacities, primarily directed at private equity and emerging technologies. He has held an active CPA license since 2022 and brings a wide-range of experience and deep relationships in the public and private markets.

Brewer Hughes joined York Developments as a Financial Analyst in 2024 after receiving his Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance with a specialization in Real Estate from Southern Methodist University. Brewer plays a key role in conducting the financial analysis for investment decisions on all new development deals. He is also responsible for researching and analyzing market trends and is instrumental in monitoring and assessing capital markets, debt financing options and interest rate trends to optimize financing options. Prior to York Developments, Brewer worked with two private equity firms in the Dallas area performing underwriting, financial modeling, and in-depth analysis for assets totaling more than $4 billion. Brewer has worked on real estate deals in over 15 markets across the United States. Through his education and work experience, Brewer is able to help facilitate the life-cycle of deals from acquisition to disposition for all York ventures.

Donnie Hendrix has served as Director of Construction for York Developments since February 2023, overseeing commercial, residential, office, and medical projects. With decades of experience in the development and construction industries, Donnie brings a wealth of expertise to York, managing complex projects from conception to completion.

Prior to joining York Developments, Donnie spent over 25 years as Vice President of Southern Development of MS, Inc. and Director of Projects for Southern Pre-Engineered Builders, Inc. In these roles, he cultivated relationships with 19 national and 26 regional retail, fast-food, and medical clients. His responsibilities spanned site selection in targeted markets, lease negotiations, land acquisition, financing, and construction management, delivering fully developed projects across 23 states.


Notable projects under Donnie's leadership include the development of 96 Family Dollar locations, 16 Dollar General stores, 63 Movie Gallery stores, 17 Hibbett Sports locations, 12 Verizon stores, 16 Dunkin’ Donuts, and a variety of medical clinics and urgent care facilities. On the industrial side, Donnie managed multi-million-dollar design-build projects, such as facilities for Warren Paving in Hattiesburg and Gulfport, MS, and led construction for nine Lamar Bank locations and numerous high-end church projects.


A lifelong resident of Lamar County, Donnie and his wife share a blended family of seven children and are proud grandparents to nine grandchildren.

Tyler Miles has served as Lead Project Manager for York Developments since 2019, after graduating Magna Cum Laude in Commercial Entrepreneurship from the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship at Florida State University. Tyler has managed the entire development process for the Spacebox Storage division for over five years. In her new role as Director of Marketing and Communications, Tyler leads and executes all branding, marketing and public relations strategies for all York Development projects. Tyler is a talented taskmaster with a hands-on approach to crafting and designing compelling messaging to strengthen York’s brand presence and drive engagement with key stakeholders, including lenders, investors, community partners and the media.

Lars Losee joined York Developments in 2021 after receiving his Bachelors of Business Administration in Real Estate from the University of Mississippi. As a 3rd-generation family member of York Developments, Lars’ role is essential in identifying and executing growth opportunities, optimizing assets and fostering key partnerships to drive the expansion of York’s development portfolio and enhance the company’s long-term success. Lars’ responsibility is to cultivate relationships with investors, financial institutions, government agencies and industry partners to create new funding and investment opportunities to ensure long-term value creation for all stakeholders involved in a York Development.

Katie Losee serves as a Development Manager for all newly-created York ventures and has been with the company since 2020. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Managerial Finance and a minor in Mathematics. Katie’s responsibilities include the detailed project management of the entire development process from site selection, planning, design, permitting, construction and marketing. With her keen attention to detail and her pervasive entrepreneurial spirit, Katie is a hands-on, strategic leader who delivers excellence in all aspects of the Development process. She obtained her Tennessee Real Estate License in 2020 and enjoys working with other Agents and Brokers in the initial site acquisition process, a critical first step for all York ventures.

Abby has been with York Developments since 2020,after graduating from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelors of Psychology with a minor in Legal Studies. Abby received her Masters degree in Counseling in 2023 from Loyola University New Orleans. She obtained her Mississippi Real Estate license in 2024. 

 

Abby’s unique background blends clinical mental health expertise with real estate development, driving her passion for creating positive change in communities. Abby is skilled in analyzing self storage markets. She is skilled in real estate industry research. Abby offers valuable insights that help shape informed strategies, driving the sustainability of future projects.

Ella Losee joined York Developments as a Development Associate in 2024, following her graduation from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Markets and Culture and minors in Business and Chinese. As a third-generation family member of York Developments, Ella brings a unique blend of heritage and forward-thinking innovation to the company. She is actively advancing her expertise in commercial real estate by pursuing the prestigious CCIM designation. With York Developments, Ella has played a pivotal role in the launch of York Hospitality, a newly formed division to develop extended stay hotels under Wyndham’s new ECHO flag. Ella is also dedicated to the creation of new wellness-inspired developments and holistic living solutions for aging demographics that foster connection, accessibility and longevity under York Developments’ new Wellery brand.

Barbara Wilson joined the York Development team in 2000 as the Sales and Marketing Director for Canebrake Golf Community and Canebrake Golf Club. She received her real estate license in 2004 and is a Sales Associate with Porch Light Properties, LLC. She is the former Sales Director and Manager for Bellegrass — a unique, lifestyle community west of Hattiesburg — with a focus on family-centered active living and neighborly interaction.


Barbara has been an Associate Board member for the Hattiesburg Builders Association for several years. She has also been the past Executive Director and past President of the Sales & Marketing Executives International/Sales and Marketing Professionals in Hattiesburg, the Retirement Chairman for the Area Development Partnership (ADP) for four years and is currently a member and on the advisory council. Barbara has held the position of Past President with the Pine Belt Restaurant Association in 2003 and 2004 and also has held many of the board positions in the Public Relations Association of Mississippi, and served as the president of the Hattiesburg Hotel Association. Barbara graduated from the Hattiesburg ADP Leaders Program in 2001 after completion of her project, Adam’s Place at Kamper Park- a universal playground for children with disabilities which won National, State and Local awards.


Barbara moved to Mississippi from Colorado. She has lived in Hattiesburg for over 40 years and is married to Al Wilson (an Appraiser) and has two children and five grandchildren. She and her family are members of Venture Church. Barbara loves to assist Buyers and Sellers and welcoming new families to the Hattiesburg area!

Tina Rodriguez has served as an Executive Administrator with York Developments since 2013, playing a pivotal role in managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the office. With a talent for multitasking and a proactive approach, Tina wears many hats, overseeing bookkeeping, project coordination, travel arrangements, vendor and consultant communications, and overall office management. Her adaptability and attention to detail make her an invaluable part of the York Developments team.

Before joining York, Tina spent nine years in the timeshare industry, honing her expertise in client relations and operational management with Wyndham and VRI. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in organizational leadership and customer service, which she continues to apply in her current role.

Outside of work, Tina is passionate about animal welfare and volunteers her time at Wellery Farms Animal Sanctuary, where she enjoys caring for and loving on the animals. In her free time, she cherishes moments with her husband and their beloved fur baby.
